1. Privacy-by-Design Search Architecture
SFFAddon operates as an ephemeral OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) meta-directory. We do not maintain or sell persistent personal profiles or an indexed identity database, and we do not provide a user-facing search-history feature. Search queries are processed to return results and may be temporarily cached in volatile memory (RAM) for performance and anti-abuse quota protection. Standard hosting, CDN, and security infrastructure may also process technical connection data, such as IP addresses, timestamps, and requested paths, in service logs for operation, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.
2. Information Transmitted During Searches
Search requests are handled via our dedicated API gateway (api.sffaddon.com):
- Username / Handle Mode: Automated HTTP HEAD/GET probes check whether public profile URLs respond. The application does not intentionally create a persistent user search-history record from these probes. Technical request and security logs may still be created as described above.
- Real Name Discovery: Meta-queries are sent to internal search infrastructure. If expanded web discovery is explicitly initiated, queries are forwarded to the Brave Search API. The receiving service and infrastructure providers may process request data under their applicable terms and policies.
3. Advertising & Analytical Cookies
We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Depending on your consent choices, applicable requirements, and ad availability, Google may serve personalized or non-personalized ads. Personalized ads may use cookies or similar identifiers and information about activity on this or other websites. Even non-personalized ads may use storage or identifiers for purposes such as frequency capping and aggregated reporting where permitted. 4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the website and to improve the service. The site is configured to load GA4 only when Google's Funding Choices consent-mode integration reports that analytics storage consent has been granted or that consent is not applicable. If the status is denied, unknown, or not configured, this page's GA4 tag is not loaded. When loaded, GA4 may process usage and technical data, such as page interactions and device or browser information, under Google's terms and policies. Analytics reports may be aggregated; we do not use this GA4 implementation to create personal profiles.
